Vursatyl
Vursatyl is an MC from Portland, Oregon. Formerly of Hip Hop group Lifesavas. In 2001 Lifesavas signed to Quannum Projects, home of DJ Shadow & Blackalicious. As a member of Lifesavas, Vursatyl & crew released two critically acclaimed albums ‘Spirit In Stone' and ‘Gutterfly'. Over his 30 year career he has recorded and collaborated with DJ Shadow, Run The Jewels, George Clinton, Smif-N-Wessun, Camp Lo & Dead Prez & Maseo of De La Soul to name a few. As well he's toured with De La Soul, Slum Village, Talib Kweli, Del The Funky Homosapien, X-Clan, Blackalicious, and many more. Vursatyl released his first solo EP ‘Crooked Straights' on the UK based BBE Records In 2015. The record produced singles that would go on to garner remixes from Hip Hop heavyweight producer Jake One as well the iconic DJ Spinna. The project was nominated for Germany's ‘Best Hip Hop Album' alongside nominees such as Tyler The Creator in 2015. Currently Vursatyl is releasing a slew of new music via, video, music streaming and on 7"inch vinyl. The latest single is entitled ‘Where I Come From' produced by the Seattle, WA legendary producer Vitamin D. The new music is soulful and funky in the tradition Hip Hop's "golden era". Plenty of good music in store.
