House of Prime Rib
Noah Waldman is the San Francisco Jazz Festival Scholarship recipient of Boston’s
Berklee College of Music plays with some of the best musicians in the area. It was at
Berklee that he was exposed to different types of music such as Funk, Rock,
Afro-Cuban, Jazz, Middle Eastern, Reggae, Indian and the music of the African
Diaspora.
He was privileged to study under the direction of the late Tony Williams and other greats
like Kenwood Dennard, Bobby Sanabria, Ernesto Diaz, Wayne Nauss, Ed Uribe, Oscar
Stagnardo, Bernardo Hernandez and Jamey Haddad. Noah has additionally performed
with great bands like Vinyl, Manicato, Bat Makumba, Steely Wonder, Gail Muldrow, Sal
Santana, Rebecca Muleon, Orestes Vilato, Larry Harlow and Ed Kelly,
Dave Von Dollen has played keyboards, bass, and guitar for local and touring acts for
over 30 years. After studying and playing music in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dave
moved to New York City, where he studied jazz and contemporary music at The New
School and William Paterson University, obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in music
performance.
During this time, he worked professionally with various live bands and on recording
sessions around New York City. He was a founding member of the Americana jam band
Railroad Earth, supporting the band on tour and featured on the band’s first two albums,
The Black Bear Sessions and Bird In a House.
The House of Prime Rib are often joined by fellow musicians on their gigs around the
Portland Area. Known as The Prime Rib All-Stars, they include Cole Robinson, Nate
Silverman, and Nick Johnson on Guitar, Joe Paymar on Drums, and Peter Chan on
Saxophones.
