The Fabulous DECK BOYS are all noted veteran musicians from Portland. Born out of the pandemic, the trio plays original home-style acoustic folk, country and blues. A bit unpredictable, but always fun and engaging, they bring a unique musical experience. They are called "fabulous" for a reason. Their first album Live from the Hallowed Halls will be released this summer.

Why the "deck boys"? Here's their story: "When the coronavirus hit we were forced to take our guitars into quarantine and ride out the impending global Armageddon. But one fateful day we surfaced from sequestration to join together in a secret location; a backyard deck in SW Portland known only to a few. On that day wonderful music was made. Joy was once again abundant. And the DECK BOYS were born."

The Deck Boys are:

KC Craine - Guitars, Vocals, Harmonica. KC spent many years as a recording artist in San Francisco and Los Angeles. He was signed to Blue Heron records. His compositions have been used on national TV and film scores. He prefers peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to Brussels sprouts.

Brad Price - Guitars, Vocals. Brad is a fretboard master. He is an alumni of Marv Ross' Trail Band and has performed in Portland bands for decades. Brad is an endorsed artist and clinician with Portland-based Pledger Guitars. He once licked a frozen flag pole and nothing happened.

Jeffrey Sher - Guitars, Vocals. Originally from New York, Jeffrey has become a familiar fixture in Portland as trusted guide and musician. He's performed in pubs and coffee houses (and tree houses) in San Francisco and Portland. He often has awkward moments in Home Depot.

Head downstairs at the Crystal Hotel to hang out in this venue named for Al Winter, Portland's 1940's gambling overlord. Enjoy a craft libation in this intimate, speakeasy-style space where live music and comedy fill the air.
