Founded by Peter Sumic, Seattle psych band Forest Ray began as a recording project in 2015. They combine guitar driven psych rock with elements of folk rock and organ-laden pop. Their songs regularly explore diverse instrumentation, which have become staples of the group's brand of rock n' roll. Through a consistent touring and recording schedule, they have become one of Seattle's most known active bands. They played over 75 shows in 2022 across the United States and toured Canada with Vinyl Williams in the spring of 2023. Their sixth studio album, Windfucker (Jebivjetar), will be released in the fall of 2023 when they embark on their first European tour and play at The Sound of Bronkow music festival. Peter of Forest Ray will be performing Forest Ray originals and folk covers acoustically, self-accompanied with harmonica.
