Patrick F. Smith has spent years capturing life in Portland and the recognizable, yet ever-changing neighborhoods such as Old Town, Downtown, and Southeast Hawthorne, since the 1970s and ‘80s. He has collected as many stories as he has photos from wandering the streets with his camera, documenting the everyday people, places, and things long forgotten.
Patrick F. Smith is a multi-skilled professional photographer whose work encompasses portraiture, commercial photography, and social events. His latest special interest project is preserving and documenting historical family photos. You can follow Patrick on Instagram and on Facebook at "Patrick F. Smith Photography Presents Through My Portland Lens".
Stay the night, mention History Pub at check-in for 15% off your room.
These events are open to everyone interested in Pacific Northwest history, and beyond! Often co-sponsored by local or state historical and civic organizations, we bring you experts, scholars, first-person experiencers, historians and documentaries expounding on topics from indigenous history to the birth of Portland, early explorers to hop growing, and on and on! It's like being back in the classroom - except this time you get to settle into comfortable seats and enjoy a drink or two with dinner while you listen and learn.
This event is eligible for a History Pub Stamp
