Dark String Star Band

Dark String Star Band transports dancers to the electrifyingly blissful sonic realm of a Grateful Dead concert with jamming and singing that ranges from playful to delicate to ferocious. We know it's been said by countless other bands but it's really true for us: DSSB isn't "just another Grateful Dead tribute"! We are seasoned and dedicated performers, each with well over 20 years of experience playing in many of the keystone acts of Portland's vibrant Grateful Dead/Jerry Garcia Band music community, including Cats Under the Stars, Foolish Hearts Band, Garcia Birthday Band, Bigfoot County, The Dead Band, Ramblin' Rose, and probably others! Bus drivers on this leg of our extended "long strange trip" include Tom Wright and Chuck Warda sharing lead vocal and guitar duties, Carter Hill on bass, Bob Foster on keyboards, and Ron Rocci on drums.
