Socks in The Frying Pan

Socks in The Frying Pan

Socks in the Frying Pan, a multi-award-winning trio from Ennis, County Clare, Ireland-the mecca of Irish traditional music-was formed in 2014. Forged together by a fire of pure joy and passion for their art, the band comprises Aodan Coyne on guitar and lead vocals, Shane Hayes on accordion, and younger brother Fiachra Hayes on fiddle.

Their ‘Socks Sound' combines virtuosic musicianship with a burning passion for the music and tradition, pitch-perfect harmonies, and a big splash of quick wit and banter. Their electrifying performances and on-stage charm have established them as the kingpins on the Irish Traditional Music scene today.

They have toured extensively, capturing hearts in 46 US states, dozens of countries, and every continent, showcasing at renowned festivals such as the Walnut Valley Festival in Kansas, Electric Picnic in Ireland, Tønder Festival in Denmark, and the world-famous New Orleans Jazz Festival.

To date, Socks in the Frying Pan have released three studio albums, each adding to their list of accolades including ‘Best New Band‘, ‘Best Live Band‘, ‘Album of the Year‘, and ‘Best Live Performance of the Year‘. Their latest release, Raw & Ríl, recorded live at Glór Theatre, was immediately awarded ‘Best Live Album‘.

Chasing Ebenezer

Portland-based world folk-rock band Chasing Ebenezer inspires audiences to love in the middle of conflict, infusing instrumentation from every continent over danceable Americana beats and penetrating lyrics. Husband-and-wife duo Benjamin & Heidi Beth Sadler front the band and trade off lead vocals and songwriting with Heidi supplying fiery violin riffs and Benjamin providing intricate, syncopated song arrangements and resonating slide guitar.
They released their debut album Outcasts & Refugees in 2017 featuring their crowd-favorite "Home," a swampy rendition of the traditional gospel tune "Wayfaring Stranger," and the dynamic song "Lion" with its multiple movements. Their 2020 EP Farewell, Innocence showcased both the band's classic sound with the imagery-filled "Valley" featuring Heidi's powerful voice and a new direction with the grooving "Angels & Monsters." In 2023 they recorded original Christmas songs at PNC Live Studio. Their music has been played by Portland Radio Project, Portland Metro Records, and Salem's Local Roots.

Chasing Ebenezer has performed at Portland area venues Alberta Street Pub, Atlantis Lounge, and Spinella's, numerous McMenamins stages including Edgefield's Little Red Shed, Spanish Ballroom, Grand Lodge, Kalama Harbor Lodge, While Eagle Saloon, and Al's Den, Portland festivals Winterfolk at Alberta Rose Theatre, The Local Roots Festival, and the Bob Dylan Tribute Show, and Northwest Folklife in Seattle. They have opened for Burlap to Cashmere and David Arkenstone and performed on KOIN AM Extra.

Currently Chasing Ebenezer is traveling the Pacific Northwest performing as a duo, trio, and full band while recording their next album.
