Uncle Daddy and the King Tide
Washed ashore from across the sound, Anderson Island's Uncle Daddy and the King Tide brings with them a wave of classic outlaw covers. Their set draws from seven decades of country and rock, ranging from gritty bar twang to melodic ballads, and features tunes by icons such as Waylon, Willie and Dolly, plus contemporary artists including Gillian Welch, Cody Jinks, and Tyler Childers. The band is four distinct vocalists: Doug Emerick, Merilee Hawkins, Dana Stirn, and Joey Straub, backed by rippin' musicians: Chris Jupinka (G Street Players), Derek Harn (Himsa) and Jacob Anderson & Colin Richey (Hey Marseilles). A night out with Uncle Daddy is always one hell of a hootenanny."
