About Cameron Hatch Group
Cameron Hatch Group is a 4 piece rock and roll band from Tacoma, Washington formed by longtime friends, Pax Allen and Cameron Hatch.
They've spent over 20 years, on and off, in basements, cars, clubs, and other bands, real or imagined, working out the kinks of life and maintaining a sacred space for playing and recording music together.
Early on, it was primarily jamming, sharing influences, making crude recordings of improvisations, until the two slowly progressed into writing music, studying theory then eventually producing records together.
Around 2015 they met bassist, Cameron Arneson, at a local jazz night and invited him to record acoustic double bass on LIKE-NEW AMERICAN STANDARDS, a modal, late 50's inspired, quartet jazz EP they were tracking.
In 2024, the group was rounded out by
songwriter and multi-instrumentalist,
Chris Antal, on keyboards, vocals, and percussion.
Combined, the four members make for a dynamic, intense, sometimes mellow, sometimes frantic modern alternative rock band; pulling in psychedelic, garage, jazz, country and moody punk flavors to taste.
They have 2 albums, 2 EPs and several singles as a group, as well as, with other musical contributors that pop up and sit in during sets once in a while.
