Shawn Brown

Shawn Brown

PDX singer-songwriter Shawn Brown has just announced that his newest EP - Into the Furious Light - will be released to all worldwide streaming services Fall 2024. The EP, featuring two new singles, "Hold Fast" and "Let Them Love Ya" was produced by Grecco Buratto (Shakira, Tegan and Sara, Loniel Richie) and is unquestionably Brown's most raw and evocative work yet.

Instead of utilizing their tried-and-true Los Angeles based recording blue-print, Shawn and Grecco elected to base this project in Portland. Recorded at The Panther Studio with famed musician/engineer Steve Drizos, this new EP is the first to feature Shawn Brown Band members Ben Landsverk, Jeff Langston and Ned Failing.

Into the Furious Light is undoubtedly Shawn Brown at his best - vulnerably laying it all on the line with urgent, painstaking reflections on loss, sadness, resilience and redemption. His signature voice cuts deeper than ever, fueled by earnest, melodic arrangements calling to mind everything from Counting Crows and Lucinda Williams to Parry Griffin and Tom Petty. The result is an immensely cinematic and mature work that doesn't shy away from harrowing explorations of hope through the darkness.
Into the Furious Light arrives hot off the heels of Shawn's recent singles "Road of Bones" and "The Sad Ones", both of which received widespread critical praise, radio play, an abundance of prominent playlist placements and have become essential moments during Shawn Brown Band live sets.

GOOSE (don't be frightened)

GOOSE (don't be frightened)

GOOSE! (don't be frightened) was conceived in a fever dream. Fronted by Matt Mena and Laura May, GOOSE! is an ever changing line-up of diverse influences; solemn yet dynamic compositions that are rooted in feelings experienced by all. Isolation, introspection, loss, love, fear and joy. The sometimes enigmatic duo keep you hoping for resolution.
