About "Illuminaughty" Tacoma's Real New Years Festival

"Illuminaughty" Tacoma's Real New Years Festival

Start your year off with a bang, a secret, and a song.

Assemble, cherished loved ones and fans of the funk, for the Real New Year's Eve Party at Tacoma's iconic Spanish Ballroom, where the lights will dim and whispers of the "Illuminaughty" emerge.

On January 3rd, 2025, Brittany Danielle headlines a night of theatrical surprises, seductive mystery, and musical magic to celebrate the release of her new album, Drive.

Join the electrifying Brittany Danielle, whose voice weaves through time and genres, fusing the timeless power of Ray Charles with the unapologetic flair and naked emotionalism of Fiona Apple.

The night will see her joined by the soulful Annie J, whose playful yet heartfelt sound channels icons like Whitney Houston and Janelle Monae, and Seattle's Kate Dinsmore, whose powerhouse vocals blend jazz, rock, and Americana.

Perfect for anyone who's ever left a heartbreak in their rearview.

Special international guest Uncle Bronco, featuring the virtuoso drummer Petar Janjic (who you know from the Cory Wong Band), will elevate the night with a dynamic trio performance that guarantees to keep the floor shaking until the ball drops again, signifying the true beginning of 2025.

In true Illuminaughty fashion, expect the unexpected-collaborations between bands, mind-bending theatrics, and a show that promises to push the boundaries of live performance.

This is more than a concert-it's the ritual and setting of a bar for the year's wildest night of music, fellowship, and adulterated dance.

About Uncle Bronco

Uncle Bronco

Uncle Bronco is equal parts Hammond organ trio and volcano. It is a 16th note hyperspace rollercoaster ran by gremlins. It's a 24/7, 365 grease fire on wheels. Drummer Petar Janjic (Cory Wong) organist Ty Bailie (Katy Perry) and guitarist Adam McPhail (BB King) came together summer of 2021, formed from of the feverish Nashville funk/soul and jazz scene. True believers in the elemental power of the classic B3/drums/guitar lineup, Petar, Ty and Adam explore with joyful abandon within the shadows of the greats before them. Expansive, earnest, and possessed by diabolical inertia, the self titled "Uncle Bronco" marks their debut to the world at large.

Bio:
Brittany Danielle

Ray Charles, Elton John, Madonna, Fiona Apple, andHoney Boo-Boo - Brittany Danielle has arrived to claim her spot in the pantheon of artistic heroes.

Brittany Danielle's uncompromising voice is instantly familiar: drawing inspiration from the pop/rock, soul, and funk of the 60s and 70s, with the fresh sensibility of aired-out laundry. She attacks tough themes with cutting lyricism and memorable beats, preserving complex feelings with authentic humor and poignant storytelling. Brittany Danielle's lyrics celebrate the deeply human moments of beauty and self-determination while staying vulnerable, uplifting, and purposeful.

A musician from the cradle, her relationship with music is existential. She worked through the trauma of her sheltered religious upbringing at the piano until she left that life to study music while finding her voice along the way. Brittany Danielle's first studio album Hindsight (2022) explored these challenges inemotional heavy hitters Fondly, Hindsight, and Ruin.

Her second full-length album Drive (fall 2024) includes single releases What Did You Think (Would Happen), Drive, You Were Meant, and Runaway.Drive is a road trip through pain, love, sexual awakening, loss, and triumph. With each track you'reinvited to explore emotions familiar, foreign, and healing.

The first single on Drive, What Did You Think (Would Happen), sets a newly empowered tone and addresses those friends who keep asking for advice about the same issue until you're out of ideas (and patience).

Drive was produced by Alex Keil of the Cory Wong band and features performances by Nashville fixtures Jon Krietz (Lake & Lyndale), Kevin Gastonguay, Adam McPhail, and Peter Janjic.

About Mezzanine VIP Experience

Mezzanine VIP Experience

-It seems like a "VIP" ticket to a show these days isn't much of a value. They cost more and you get less!
This show is different! The Spanish Ballroom has a lavish VIP access Mezzanine that over-looks the dance floor and stage. Food, drinks, and goodie bags are only the start of this sordid affair! Who knows what kind of "secret society" perks one can encounter in such an exclusive space.
Meet and Greet encounters with artists is a guarantee! And you can be certain the special entertainment will be "up-close and personal!" Although, if the Lavish Mezzanine is too much for you and you find your head swooning; one can always join the small-folk back on the main floor in the gorgeous ballroom. In fact one could repose back and forth as often as one might please.
