About Queer Short Stack

Queer Short Stack

Join us for a series of short movies highlighting different queer experiences - Cowboy Boots, The Haunted Baby Carriage from Hell, Nana Dara is Gay, and Sew into You - followed by discussion.

About Cowboy Boots

Jack, a gay farm boy from Nebraska, finds anything but the promised land he envisioned when he visits a San Francisco gay club for the first time.

Cowboy Boots was originally published in 2005 as a short story in Instant City: A Literary Exploration of San Francisco.

About The Haunted Baby Carriage from Hell

A gay couple moves into a new house that just so happens to be haunted by an old baby carriage. As the carriage endeavors to scare the couple, the attempts ultimately fail because the couple just doesn't care...like, at all. An LGBTQ+ Horror Comedy Short Film

About Nana Dara is Gay

It's 1973 in small town Texas, and Nana Dara can't hold her secret in any longer. "Nana Dara is Gay" is about what goes down when a septuagenarian comes out to her step-children: the bible thumping, gin toting Miss Debbie and her "sister who dresses like a mister", Eddie.

About Sew into You

A widowed older woman seeks guidance from her younger queer coworker to ask out a woman for the first time.
