Mys Jae is a Bay Area native with strong jazz, funk and soul roots from her father and classical training in piano, opera and show tunes from her mother. She claims writing and composition as her lifeline, and has been telling stories since age five through song and dance. After moving to Bend in 2016 she has woven high desert country and folk landscapes into her works. Her latest album "I am a Rose" is a lilting folksy jazz expose of her journey into single motherhood and divorce. You'll hear a few lyrics in German, her second language, and enjoy the tinkling accompaniment of her talented band.
