About Stout Pounders

Stout Pounders

Stout Pounders is a Seattle based Celtic Folk Rock band and since 2007 the band has brought new energy to time tested Irish and Scottish folk music while mixing in originals with influences ranging from ska to metal, and play regularly around the PNW region. Stout Pounders is a great band for pub atmospheres, music clubs, theaters, and large festivals.

Starting as simply an idea on St. Patrick's Day 2006, when founding members gathered at a pub that lacked the vibe and entertainment they were looking for, it was proclaimed that one year from then they would be the band playing the pubs they enjoyed attending. The rest as they say is history! Stout Pounders grew in size, purpose and popularity, becoming one of the most sought after Celtic acts in the Pacific Northwest. Having played several festivals, pubs, theaters, and events from Canada to Arizona, Stout Pounders has proven to be the band people want to see. With amazing energy, comedic elements, and solid musicianship the band has amassed a strong following and international fanbase of people who just want to have a fun time.

Stout Pounders have opened for, headlined, and shared billings and played with Celtic rock acts such as Young Dubliners, Seven Nations, Screaming Orphans, Derek Warfield and the Young Wolfe Tones, and The Black Donnellys to name a few. They have played live on the air and had their music played on major radio stations, and have 4 self-produced albums, including their most recent live album titled Liver Let Live (2022). They have been the house band of the Seattle St. Patrick's Day Dash since 2009. The band is Darin Wallace: lead vocals, bodhran and tin whistle, Marc Wallace: acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, Christian Hoffman: Bouzouki and Tele-banjo guitar, Jimmy McKnight: Bagpipes, whistles and accordion, Tianna Byrtus: fiddle, Amber Crea: Drums, Phil Tsai: Bass guitar.

About Surly Goats

Surly Goats

Created by friends who wanted to enjoy each other's company while getting free drinks The Surly Goats have created a lasting impact on Irish music in their own particular way. After years working as a spy network in the Congo our heroes have settled down in the South Sound area to raise kids and spread the joy of traditional Irish instrumentals and songs to an unsuspecting audience. And possibly sell a few T-Shirts on the way to pay for snacks.
