The Art of McMenamins: Celebrating 40 Years of Creativity, A Conversation with the Artists

Meet the unique artists who transform each McMenamins pub, hotel, restaurant, brewery, and music venue into a visual journey that sparks the imagination and reflects local history. Jenny Joyce, Cleo Hehn, Eona Skelton, Myrna Yoder, and Lillian Ripley share the stories and inspiration behind their artwork and the creative processes involved in bringing their visions to life.

The artistic evolution of McMenamins encompasses 40 years of captivating murals, mosaics, sculptures, paintings, and even embellished borders and decorative details. A wide variety of artists over decades have contributed to shaping the company's identity and preserving the history of each location. Through their talents and hard work, these artists have enhanced historic architecture and illustrated the true stories and real people that make up the rich fabric of local communities... While, of course, stirring some fantasy into their style of "historical surrealism."

Immerse yourself in the world of McMenamins artwork displayed on the big screen as the artists reveal their secrets!
