Hailing from Seward, Alaska; Blackwater Railroad Company's wild energy defies expectations. Briarfinch came together from progressive bluegrass inspirations, Irish roots, and a shared attention to musical detail. Cory Briar (The Vineyard Collective) and Joshua Grice (Oly Mountain Boys) join Tom Roalkvam and Erin Finch (The Burren Band) in Olympia's newest entry to the Americana scene. Briarfinch blends a one-two punch of passionate songwriters with virtuosic leads and tight arrangements of modern newgrass standards.
