About Blackwater Railroad Company

Blackwater Railroad Company

Hailing from Seward, Alaska; Blackwater Railroad Company's wild energy defies expectations. Bordering bluegrass and saxophone driven roots-rock; the band is inspired by the spirit of the 49th state, where endless daylight leads to boundless joy. Tight four-part harmonies and honky-tonk piano punctuate the endless pulsing dance beats and foot-stomping anthems that have established them as a favorite among mountain folk and wandering souls.

Their new album ‘A Lovely Place to Die' is out on all streaming platforms, a love letter to the extremes of northern living capturing a retro sound for new audiences. "Everybody has a story worth telling, and we want to create music that resonates with the highs and lows, the celebration and joy, but also the complexities."

Personnel:
• Tyson Davis (Acoustic Guitar - Vocals)
• Kyle Comeau (Piano - Vocals)
• Braden Astorga-Rollins (Saxophone - Vocals)
• Miguel Reina (Bass Guitar)
• Dirk Brankel (Drums - Vocals)

About Briarfinch

Briarfinch

Briarfinch came together from progressive bluegrass inspirations, Irish roots, and a shared attention to musical detail. Cory Briar (The Vineyard Collective) and Joshua Grice (Oly Mountain Boys) join Tom Roalkvam and Erin Finch (The Burren Band) in Olympia's newest entry to the Americana scene. Briarfinch blends a one-two punch of passionate songwriters with virtuosic leads and tight arrangements of modern newgrass standards.
