About Amazon Queen

Amazon Queen

AMAZON QUEEN is made in the spirit of Indiana Jones and Key Largo and Fitzcarraldo. It's a festival and audience favorite as the story appeals to all that enjoy romantic light-adventure movies combined with suspense crime thrillers - and all set in an exotic land. This is Portland director Marlin Darrah's 2nd dramatic feature. He's been called "The world's most traveled filmmaker," having produced films in more than 140 countries. Actors featured are Massi Furlan (Jumanji and Bad Boys for Life), and Alfonso DiLuca (CW's Jane the Virgin series). Preceding the screening, Marlin will introduce and tell amusing stories about the making of this adventurous indie movie - shot entirely in Brazil just a few months ago. Lead actor Nick Dreselly Thomas will be in attendance as well. See below for recently received awards.
