While rooted in Bluegrass, the dynamic acoustic quartet Snapdragon delivers an eclectic blend of old and new music from a variety of traditions. With influences including Django Reinhardt, David Grier and Tony Rice, swing tunes, and classic rock songs are not uncommon brethren to hard driving Bluegrass instrumentals and old-time fiddle tunes. Nicolas Miranda on guitar, Andy Lohr on dobro, guitar and mandolin, and Kate Saylor on fiddle take turns leading the way, with Sean Hudson holding down the line and throwing in an occasional solo on bass.
