About McMenamins on the Columbia

Have a brew with a view

The Columbia River drains a 259,000-square-mile basin including territory in seven states and one Canadian province. You ought to be able to drain a pint or two at McMenamins on the Columbia! When you do, you'll be glad to know that there are no walls around our brewery, where customers watch McMenamins brewers carry out their noble work.

But don't let that view distract you from the spectacular panorama of the mighty Columbia. Accordion-style doors open onto an outdoor deck, where hearty pub fare and ales brewed onsite are served up against Mother Nature's spectacular backdrop.

We offer Northwest-style pub fare that incorporates the freshest seasonal ingredients from local and regional growers and producers. Our pizza, soups and more are house-made, and seasonal specials are always a menu option - ask your server for details.

Gluten-free buns available! These light, crisp, locally made products are available for an additional charge with hamburgers and sandwiches - just ask your server. Please note: Although the bun is gluten-free, our kitchens are not.

History

McMenamins on the Columbia has one of the best atmospheres this area has to offer. In almost every direction the place is hemmed in by a display of natural beauty. True, the Columbia's powerful, hypnotic flow is a spectacular backdrop for enjoying great conversation along with good food and drink, but its steady pace also recalls the ceaseless march of time. Located in what was the famed Kaiser shipyard of WWII, and bordered by the old SP&S railroad, Fort Vancouver and the Columbia River, the spot teems with remarkable history, its story as deep and impressive as the river itself....

Built on the former site of a WWII shipyard, McMenamins on the Columbia commemorates its location's place in history.
